I've always loved meeting new people and seeing new places, but at the same time I treasured old memories and cherished places and people of the past. Somewhere along the way I discovered that photography allowed me to achieve both.

At an early age I carried a camera with me everywhere, capturing everything of meaning to me. Life was spectacular and I didn't want to forget any part of its wonder and beauty. I discovered that the lens was my invitation into people's lives. I could meet complete strangers, hear fantastic stories and create wonderful artwork from "normal everyday people." I was in love and pursued with intensity. The world became two dimensional to me and my eyes began to see potential photographs with every step. For the first time I realized the magical ability that light, or lack therof, had in transforming an object. I studied photography through the Art and Journalism departments at the University of Nebraska.

I feel blessed to live out my passion for photography, but have more pleasure when I see people smile as they relive a special event, see a great picture of themselves, or see the beauty of their child's face captured in a piece of photographic art.
